May 14 - Edible Books Contest and Activity

The Pillsbury Free Library in Warner is hosting an “Edible Books Contest and Activity” from 9:30 a.m. –1:30 p.m. during the 9th Annual “Spring Into Warner” Arts festival Saturday May 14, 2016.

Anyone can participate in the Edible Books Contest simply by creating something edible that is somehow book-related. For example, it can illustrate a book title, setting, or character, be a food described in a book, or just look like a book.

There will be voting by visitors all day from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm for their favorite Edible Books on display in the entry categories of Professional, Amateur and Youth. There will also be voting categories of “funniest”, “cutest”, and “most amazing” for the entire display.

Registration is free! There is an entry form available at warner.lib.nh.us and at the library to fill out and bring to the library along with your edible book entry, at 9 am Saturday, May 14 or drop off in advance so we can plan display space. Please call 456-2289 and speak with a staff member to arrange your drop-off. Votes will be counted at 1:30 pm.

Family Activity: Visitors will also be able to “make a book and eat it”, free: all supplies provided (but donations accepted).
