Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum will provide complimentary tastings of our homegrown squash with maple syrup and a sampling of acorn griddle cakes.  You will sample the rare treat of "sugar on snow," participate in a live demonstration of how the Indians made maple sugar and learn how to boil sap in the traditional Native way. James Moreis, an Aquinnah Wampanoag Native, will demonstrate how to burn a dugout canoe and we will show you the customary method of burning bowls.  Our museum will be open all day and you will have a chance to visit our museum store.  If you have never tried snowshoeing, now is the time!  We will provide the snowshoes courtesy of the Simonds School.  While you are in town, be sure to investigate the rest of the offered events and activities.
