Warner Fish and Game Annual Kids Fishing Derby
Saturday, April 27
Children under 16 years.  Registration begins at 6:30 am, Derby starts at 7 am till 11am. Assorted prizes for different size fish and limits.

Also for sale, Raffle tickets: 1st prize $100. 2nd prize $50. 3rd prize $25.
Price for tickets is 1 for $1.00 or 6 for $5.00. Also have a 50/50 raffle at the same time. Drawing will take place at the derby.
Free soda, hamburgers, and hotdogs for the children. Adults can also purchase food.

Riverside Park Clean Up

Warner Parks and Rec wanted to get the word out that the clean up for tomorrow for Riverside has been rescheduled due to the inclement weather.

It will be next Saturday April 20th at 9 am.

Please bring shovels, rakes, tarps, and even wheel barrows if you have them.

Join us at The BeeHive on April 19th, from 5-8pm, for a Book Signing with Jennifer Carson.

Jen is excited to present her newest book, Beyond Bears - How to draw, design and sew your own stuffed animals. She'll be demonstrating how to make a tiny bear head pin from the book. Copies of the new book, as well as her previous adventure books, To Find a Wonder and Hapenny Magick, will be available for sale.

If you cannot make it to the book signing party, but would like to purchase a copy of Jen's new book, you can get it from her Etsy shop online.

Head Start Accepting Applications

Head Start is accepting applications for the fall 2013-2014 school year for
the Warner and surrounding towns area. If you have a child at home
that will be 3yrs or 4 yrs old by September 30, 2013, now is the time to
complete an application. If you have a relative, friend or neighbor with
a preschool aged child please encourage them to call Susan Ireland at

News from the United Church of Warner

Dinner is served from 5 to 6:30.

The next Council on Ministry Meeting is scheduled for April 16th from 4:30 to 6 in Fellowship Hall

The Community Leaders Lunch group will meet on Wednesday April 10th from 12 to 1:30. Jim Bingham, the new Warner Town Administrator, will join the group for the 'focus time'. He will share his Warner thoughts as he begins his new position. Everyone is invited to attend, even if it is only for the 20-30 minutes of 'focus time'. Please feel free to bring your lunch.

On Tuesday April 16th the CRVNA will host their Community Health Series. Everyone is invited to this free informative gathering at 11:30. This month the focus is "Honest Discussions with your Healthcare Team". Effective communication is one of the keys in receiving good health care and at times communicating with your team of providers can be a challenge. Learn practical strategies to strengthen your ability to share information with your physician while building a good patient-doctor partnership.

The Worship Team will meet Tuesday, April 16th at 3:30, before the Council meeting. Everyone is invited to join in planning and discussing worship.

The Women's Prayer Group is filling "Gift of the Heart Kits". Church World Service sends these kits all over the world where there is a need. Gifts of the following items are needed to fill the kits (Health, Baby and School Kits): Items are due by the 1st of May and can be left in Fellowship Hall. Any questions please call Jayne Greenlun at 456-3341.

For the month of April, following worship down stairs, we will have “Pastor Chats,” a half-hour gathering to get to know Pastor Bob and talk about where God may be leading United Church.

Sunday Worship, led by Rev. Robert Wyand, is at 10:00am
and is Family Friendly.

Local Motion Studio is having an open house on Saturday April 13th from 11:30-1:30. All of the instructors will be there doing demos of: Zumba, Zumba Gold Toning, Kickboxing, Strength & Tone, Women's Self Defense, Tai Chi and Yoga.
